Do you know how many individuals face sexual assault each day? Not just women, men, children, transgenders but also animals. How much lust is injected into the culprit's veins? It seems more poisonous than venom. Every other day we hear about someone being raped, harassed, commit suicide. Have we ever thought why aren't we able to stop it? Why does it keep increasing?
Most women do not report the case against harassment. This society has injected in the minds of women that they shouldn't be vocal about this issue. Why is that so? They have corrupted the world by their intuitions turning them real. They made women an object to entertain themselves. They embedded the thought that a girl will not be accepted to be someone's wife if she is sexually assaulted by the other man. They think that a victimized girl will bring shame to them. This issue is, however, the most sensitive one, yet neglected. The rate of harassment that is reported is just a little percentage of what it should be. Why harassment is not reported? That is because It is made more common than buying fruits. When a girl is harassed she is asked to zip her mouth forever and live with this scar all her life. She is told that this happens to everyone. She is disgraced for her appearance. If the girl wears revealing clothes, she is blamed. If the girl is covered, her tone of voice is labeled ‘seductive’. If the girl is covered and doesn't speak, she is again blamed to not call for help. This encourages the crime to continue because no matter what, it is always a woman who is targeted.
Harassment doesn't only occur in strange places but behind the private doors too. It includes families and neighborhood. Marital rape is also a sexual assault that it highly ignored as women are made to believe that it should be kept private blocking others interference. They are unaware of their legal rights. This statistic shows that the majority of the cases are reported in nearby places:

A high percentage of the statistics refer to children. Children are not always safe in their homes. They are sexually abused by either of the family members, house helpers, neighbors or even visitors. These innocent lives suffer the bitter truth when they are unknown to this trauma. They are the easiest prey for the wild to feast on. Their naiveness gives the harasser an absolute advantage to continue there forbidden sin. Who do they call when they are unaware of what happened? The case remains unreported.
Children and women are now taught self-defense, the difference between good touch and bad touch for the fact that they know of the ‘expected danger’. This has a positive impact but does that lasts long? Does that save other’s lives? We are taught to escape the danger rather fight one. These practices don't induce terror amongst criminals, eventually, they find their next target. To end their salacity, the stricter law needs to be enforced, to chop off their private organs so they are left with no sensation to chase.
Have you ever thought what a person feels when encounters harassment? A slightest accidental touch of a stranger rushes a sudden sense of uncomfortability. What does this make you think a victim goes through when they are groped, inappropriately touched, or raped?
Women are objectified in this society that justifies this cruel act but men also face sexual harassment. What reason defines that? Men are more likely to not report it. They are seen as dignified powerful beings and them being sexually assaulted is unacceptable by society. The fear of embarrassment and being called “NOT MAN ENOUGH” stops them from reporting. They are pressurized to not let the emotions out as it may damage their stereotypical image and be questioned about their manhood.
Reporting sexual assault and demanding justice might be easy but proving the allegation is risking your whole life. Majority of the cases go unreported as it demands proof that is usually not available. Men are more likely to suffer punishment even if they are not the culprit, that is because men are universally character labeled “RAPISTS” and that women have a higher percentage of sexual assault by men. On the other hand, women are less likely to gain justice as either they do not report the case or the case is forcefully withdrawn through threats, ‘Thanks’ to such patriarchal/unfair society. As the traditional saying continues: “Forget and move on otherwise bring shame to our community” or “No one will marry you”.
When we talk about sexual assault, we only tend to highlight two genders. We neglect the most assaulted group of this community, transgenders. They stand against this crime, they fight for justice but they are not heard. Their voice is locked behind the cages. They are treated inhumanely. Likewise women, transgenders are seen as prostitutes. They are least likely to be reported. Numerous are raped and murdered under the night light.
This crime has crossed the extreme that not even animals are safe by the hands of ferocious beasts. Men, women, transgenders, all have the voice but animals die a silent death. No place is safe, not here nor there. No one can escape this belt of fear that keeps us hanging in the mid-air.
All this concludes that a human can be a living hell when unleashed, vicious than vulture that can tear apart a living soul.
This is not a ‘do and done’ crime. It keeps reflecting on the lives of victims. It is traumatic. It makes an individual a ‘walking dead’. The depression and fear caused by it are never-ending. The life becomes miserable to live in, especially when the tongue is glued up the palate. The sufferer sees every face mirroring the beast. The only choice they see is to jump in the ‘BLACK HOLE’. What are you doing to save “US” from the missile?
